Fighting the aging of skin is a lifelong battle and one you should begin early. I know that I waited until wrinkles began to form before I got serious. But don’t make that same mistake – once the wrinkles are formed, they’re tough to get rid of.
I’ve trialed a lot of products over the last year and had some great success with fighting back the hands of time and this week I’ve started using a new product for me called Elite Serum. While just begun using it today, I wanted to let you know about it because I’m also hosting a giveaway and I want to get this into someone’s hands as soon as possible!
First, what is Elite Serum? It’s Skin Pro’s flagship product which is a blend of peptides which they claim is the “the only true needle-free alternative to Botulinum Toxin type A injections.” As someone who has never considered Botox, this caught my attention. But can something I rub onto my skin provide that kind of results?
I’ve started a trial and hope to give you my results in a few weeks, but here are my initial reactions. First the packing is cute. The serum is delivered in what looks like a huge hypodermic needle. It’s purely for show and the product is dispensed by depressing the plunger. Unfortunately the design is more for looks than use – it’s not easy to work the dispenser with one hand so initially I had to use both hands and which meant dispensing the serum onto my counter top After a few applications it got easier, but I’m wondering if there’s not something wrong with my applicator – I have to pull the plunger back up and yet there is a spring inside which make me think it should work like a pen.
Besides my issues with the applicator, the serum itself is remarkably scent free (a huge plus) and has a great viscosity. It blends easily and gently with no tugging or pulling. I pat it around my eyes and I’m done. It’s absorbed completely in a few minutes and my skin is ready for make-up or bed. There’s absolutely no irritation, burning, or other side-effects. I’m pretty impressed.
The company claims using the product twice a day – morning and night – will greatly improve your skin’s look and feel including reducing dark circles and puffiness. I’m looking forward to putting it to the test. My initial photos are above – first while applying the serum for the first time and then 5 minutes later. I’m already seeing improvement and most importantly is how it feels. It feels like the area is tightening but don’t mistake it for drying – it’s still supple without being moist and there’s no dry or flaky skin. It’s a really unique feeling.
