If you’ve been watching The Crown on Netflix, you know that season three will debut on November 17, 2019. Covering the time period between the 1960s and 70s, it will focus less on Prince Philip and the Queen’s relationship, and more on the breakdown of Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdown’s marriage.
The Crown‘s showrunner, Peter Morgan, told Entertainment Weekly that they’ll also highlight the relationship between Charles and Camilla. But we won’t be given the tale the way it’s generally been told since Charles’ unfortunate marriage to Princess Diana. That’s because according to Morgan, “People always assume Charles cheated on Diana with Camilla, It’s absolutely the wrong way round. He was deeply in love with Camilla and forced to marry Diana.”

Books and More about the Royal Family
To prepare for the release of The Crown, Season 3, you could binge seasons one and two again; however, I suggest you do a deep dive into the subject of the Royal Family with one of these great books. Some concentrate on the Queen herself while others provide insight into the Queen Mother, Prince Philip, and my favorite, the life of the young princes as told by their nanny.
First, some nonfiction royal reads that explore the lives of the family in even greater detail. Also, home video if you’re not a Netflix subscriber or if you want to own the series, plus official series companion books to learn more about the life and times as portrayed during the first two seasons.
