Comcast chose Mary’s Place as their partner because of the good they do locally.  They provide emergency shelter for moms, dads, and kids as well as three nutritious meals a day plus snacks.  They work to obtain permanent housing for families and provide a pantry box for each newly housed family.

They also provide a safe and loving place for kids at their Kids Club. They also provide food, clothing, hygiene items, and more for women who utilize their day center as well as employment services such as resume help and access to computers to fill out job applications.

Winter Clothing Drive to Benefit Mary’s Place

Comcast kicked off a Winter Clothing Drive to Benefit Mary’s Place as well The weather in the Pacific Northwest tends to be on the wet side, but we have our extreme cold periods as well, and goodness knows, it’s hard to do anything when you’re cold.

To be sure that those that need a little extra help have warm clothing, Comcast’s Women’s Network and Young Professional employee resource groups collected and donated 50 bags of cold weather clothing. They’re also collecting public donations at the Northgate Xfinity Retail store until January 6, 2019, so you can help too!

Mary’s Place – No Child Sleeps Outside Campaign

Mary’s Place is currently working to raise $2 million dollars before December 31st to convert an empty building in downtown Seattle into an emergency family shelter.  The No Child Sleeps Outside campaign will allow Mary’s Place to move up to 900 families out of tents, cars, and the like over the next three years. That’s an ambitious goal and they need our help to make it happen. Please consider making a Donation, throwing a “No Child Sleeps Outside” Fundraiser, or attending one of Mary’s Place fun fundraising events.
