We received a playset to facilitate this review; however, all opinions are our tiny little reviewer’s alone. Don’t miss our review of the Playmobil Cruise Ship
My sweet little girl, Amelia, has just turned two. She amazes me every day with what she knows and understands. So much so that I sometimes forget that there millions of things she has no idea about because she hasn’t experienced them yet. Like a ski lodge for example.
Playmobil Ski Lodge Building Set
While we live in a place where snow is on the ground for months, she’s never been to a ski resort. Therefore, she has no concept of the sport that involves people strapping long boards to their feet and hurling themselves down snowy slopes. But that doesn’t stop her from enjoying the one bit!Even with her tiny hands, she’s able to manipulate the pieces which help with her with her hand/eye coordination. She also uses her imagination because the Ski Lodge set has so many places to act out our imaginative play, both inside and outside of the lodge, and accessories are included that encourage open-ended play.
Granted Amelia is below the manufacturer’s recommended age of three, but we consider this and all of our Playmobil toys to be ones we can enjoy as a family, so that’s not a worry for us. Yes, there are some small parts that are choking hazards for kids who haven’t learned not to put small objects in their noses, ears, and mouths. However, the fact that we play with our little girl makes it safe and fun for us all.
What I love about Playmobil playsets are that they’re easy to build. Clear instructions are included with each set and the pieces are well made, so everything goes together smoothly which means frustration-free play!
