Disney announced during the 2017 D23 Expo that The Lion King, one of the best-loved movies of all time, is taking its place as the fifth film to be added to the Walt Disney Signature Collection in August. It joins Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beauty and the Beast, Pinocchio, and Bambi.
This timeless treasure which stars some of the best-animated characters ever created. Simba, Mufasa, Timon, Pumbaa, and more will share this coming of age story with a whole new generation of kids. This new release has more than three hours of previously released bonus material plus new features including a sing-a-long of the film’s award winning songs.
The Lion King takes its spot in the Walt Disney Signature Collection on Digital Aug. 15th and on Blu-ray™ Aug. 29th.
