Crochet a sweet treat, a little snack, or even a cheese plate and wine. These tiny amigurumi patterns are a great addition to a pretend kitchen or for imaginative play. Store the fruit in a basket, the dim sum in a Chinese take-out box, and the veggies and dip on a serving platter.
The majority of the fruit and vegetables are made with cotton yarn, but they could be made of wool as well. They use such a tiny amount of yarn to create, they’re the perfect project to use up your yarn odds and ends and whip up some fun faux food.
Written by UK authors, the patterns use standard US crochet terms. They include a small bit of basic instruction for the simple stitches used in the book. Also provided are instructions for the easy embroidery stitches and beading used to finish the pieces. Previous amigurumi experience will be helpful, but a beginner could tackle these as well with a little patience.

These are totally awesome and so adorable! I would love to see children use crocheted items in play kitchens instead of the fake plastic food sold in stores.
This is so cool! I mean, I always thought crochet projects were mostly doilies, table runners, throws, beanie hats and infant shoes. But this is just awesome! I love it! Sharing this post with my sister too.
This is too adorable. I wish I had the patience for crochet because these are amazing. I love the crochet sushi pieces!
We have some felt food that my preschooler loves! I know she’d have so much fun playing with this crocheted food.
Even the crochets look good enough to eat. That is one creative book there. I could get on board with this.
