Disclosure: I’m proud to be working with CVS Pharmacy on the CVS Pharmacy Difference Campaign. All opinions expressed are my own, and all product claims or program details shared should be verified at CVS.com or with the appropriate manufacturers.

I shared how convenient it is that CVS Pharmacies are now located inside Target stores nationwide, but I didn’t get a chance to share with you all of the services they offer to make managing your prescriptions services easier. Their tech features are among the best in the business, and they offer so much more than just prescription ordering services.

CVS.com Account Services

By creating a CVS.com account, you’ll be able to manage your prescriptions, transfer prescriptions, print your current prescriptions, manage automatic refills, and view a financial summary. Everything you need is just a few clicks away, but of course, should you need it, friendly assistance is available by phone or in store. They’ve also created the CVS Pharmacy® app which you can download via the App Store or Google Play. You can also text “App” to CVS-APP (287-277) to download it now.

Prescription pickup made easy

The CVS Pharmacy® app gives you easy access to your prescription information and makes in-store pickup easy. Just scan the code on your medicine bottle and follow the onscreen instructions.

MinuteClinic Wait Times and Hold Your Place in Line

It also gives those of you with a MinuteClinic® wait times, and it can even hold your place in line so you can browse the store, pick up a cup of coffee next door, etc. The app texts you when you’re next in line. Get all of the details as well as restrictions by visiting MinuteClinic.com.

MinuteClinic is open seven days a week including evenings. No appointment is necessary, and they’re located within select CVS/pharmacy stores nationwide. They treat minor illnesses, injuries, skin conditions, and provide vaccinations, physicals, and screening and monitoring of chronic conditions.

ExtraCare Pharmacy & Health Rewards®

Target’s  pharmacy customers were transferred over to CVS, and that means they now have access to the benefits of ExtraCare Pharmacy & Health Rewards®.  This program lets you earn extrabucks for pharmacy-related activities.

Current ExtraCare Pharmacy & Health Rewards promotions include:

  • $5 Pharmacy & Health ExtraBucks Rewards for every ten prescriptions you have filled
  • adding prescription management
  • signing up for refill reminders
  • signing up for prescription text alerts,
  • getting a flu shot or vaccinations.

The points are awarded automatically about seven days after you’ve reached the goal. There are restrictions on the items that can be purchased with extrabucks. Get complete details as well as the restrictions here.

Health Expertise

When you need answers to your health questions, you have options. You can visit a CVS Pharmacy and talk with their knowledgeable staff, but if it’s after hours or you’re more comfortable going online, your going to find an incredible amount of information available to you 24/7 at the CVS Health Information Center.

With the CVS Health Information Center, you can access in-depth reports, fact sheets, and more online in the CVS Pharmacy Medical Condition Library. It’s a place to learn more about allergies, arthritis, asthma, colds & flu, and a whole host of other medical conditions. There’s also an interactive Symptom Checker which provides possible causes and information as well as details on when to call a doctor or when urgent care is warranted.

The Condition Navigator lets you explore more about conditions you or someone you love may have. Detailed information included causes, risk factors, prevention, treatment, and more are included.

To help keep you healthy and active, CVS Pharmacy has created an online Wellness Center filled with information on aging, diet, food and nutrition, weight management, fitness,  mental health, oral health, and more. They’ve included tons of videos and animations on medical procedures,  general medicine, obstetrics, smoking cessation, exercise and more.

Medicaid, Marketplace, and Medicare Resources

CVS Pharmacy can help you find the right health insurance for you. By walking through a simple online questionnaire, you can find out in about 15 seconds if qualify for Marketplace, Medicare, or Medicaid coverage. Once your determination has been completed, you’ll be provided detailed information for your insurance option. This information can include when the open enrollment period is, discounts you may qualify for, and any penalty fee you may be required to pay for not enrolling in a health insurance plan by 2017. You can also find out where you can meet a health plan representative, where to enroll, and how to use your insurance.
