It’s the holiday season, and if you’re like me, you dread that unexpected doorbell ring that announces a drop-in guest. You know the friend or neighbor who drops by or the cousin who was in the area and arrived just after dinner to say hello? Beyond worrying that they’ve caught you in your PJs, or the house is a mess, you realize you should offer them something to eat or drink, but you haven’t started your holiday baking.
That happens to me every year and this year I’m ready. I have an Eli’s Cheesecake in my freezer and caramel sauce in my cupboard so no matter how little notice I get that we’re about to host coffee and dessert, I’m ready!
Eli’s Cheesecake is available in so many flavors, but their plain cheesecake gives you a wide variety of ways to top it. While I love the caramel sauce (I use King’s Cupboard Organic Caramel Sauce – you want the topping to be as decadent as the cheesecake!), you could also top it with any canned fruit pie filling (blueberry, cherry, or raspberry are particularly good), chopped candies and nuts (a great way to use leftover Halloween candy), or some fresh fruit (especially sliced strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
Eli’s Cheesecakes are shipped frozen anywhere in the continental US. They’re presliced so you can pull from the freezer just the number of slices you need though they can also be refrozen if you have any leftovers.
And what if guests don’t drop in unexpectedly? Then enjoy your cheesecake as a treat or serve it at your Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. Your guests will love it, and you’ll enjoy the smiles on their face as they discover just why Eli’s Cheesecakes have been shipped from Chicago to homes all over the US – they’re delicious!
There’s still time to order yours and while you’re doing it, think about gifting one! I used to send them to my son when he was in college, and I’ve sent them to my brother and his family. They’re easy to order, are a sweet family-size treat (they make you popular in college too! :)), and are made from fine ingredients like pure Madagascar vanilla and then slow baked in small batches, and one they won’t forget.
We use only the finest ingredients like pure Madagascar vanilla and fresh Michigan apples.
Not cheesecake fan?
They have 40 different varieties of cheesecakes, but if it’s not your thing, check out their cakes and tarts. Tasty carrot cake, Tira Mi Su, Moscato Berry Tira Mi Sue, Apple Bavarian Tart, Limoncello Cake, Tres Leches Cake, and Old-Fashioned Triple Chocolate Cake. All of these great desserts serve 14 people. That makes them an affordable $4-5 per serving.
Gluten free and vegan, their Skinny Eli desserts are made with Equal Sweetener and include plain, chocolate, and key lime cheesecake.
