It’s fall, and the sun is setting much too early for me. But as the leaves start to display their fantastic fall colors, we grill outdoor less and start cooking inside once again. That means a wider variety of foods to eat. One cuisine that I’m looking forward to enjoying more is Chinese. But I’ve never tried cooking it from scratch. Instead, I rely on easy to heat-and-eat frozen entrees, appetizers, and sides from P.F. Chang’s Home Menu.
scratch. Instead, I rely on easy to heat-and-eat frozen entrees, appetizers, and sides from P.F. Chang’s Home Menu. They created flavorful Asian dishes that are the perfect size for the two of us.
While I stick to the vegetarian-friendly options, my husband loves the varieties that feature their quality beef and chicken. All of them are paired with colorful veggies and authentic Asian ingredients using cooking techniques that Philip Chiang, the founder of P.F. Chang’s Home Menu created.
The meals have fantastic signature sauces that can perk up a dark and dreary evening. That’s especially important during mid-week when it’s easy to feel a little overwhelmed. It’s OK to take a shortcut now and then for dinner and let someone else chop the veggies, create the sauce, and cook the meat. P.F. Chang’s lets you put together an entire meal – appetizer, side, and a main dish – in minutes. You pick the flavors you’re in the mood for and mix and match them, so you never get bored. Plus you can add your flavor add-ins with red pepper flakes, sriracha, or soy sauce, or whatever you have on hand.
P.F. Chang’s Home Menu
Never send your husband to the store when he’s hungry. I asked him to pick me up an appetizer, main, and side and instead he brought me two of each. That gave me a lot of choices for what to make for dinner. You can save time by heating these in the microwave, but I prefer the alternative directions that provide a better quality product.
P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Appetizers
Since the Vegetable Mini Egg Rolls were vegetarian-friendly, they were an easy choice. Packed with cabbage, carrots, and onions, these had a bite to them. The Signature Sauce was sweet and sticky and I was wishing there was twice the amount included to enjoy on my rice as well. Because I cooked these in my toaster oven instead of a microwave, they were crispy, brown, and delicious.
P.F. Chang’s Home Menu – Sides
My husband brought home two side options. The first steam brown rice and the send Chang’s Signature Rice. Since both are vegetarian-friendly, I opted for the signature rice, a combination of Jasmine rice with carrots, peas, green onion, and sesame oil. Each box contains two packets of rice. I opted to use the stove top method of reheating and was rewarded with a great texture and slight crunch from the bits of fried rice.
P.F. Chang’s Home Menu – Main Dishes
For his main course, my husband chose both the Beef and Broccoli and Garlic Chicken with Dan Dan Noodles. Since he’d be the only one enjoying the main dish, I only cooked him one which left him plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. He chose the Garlic Chicken to try first and he was rewarded with a chicken dish he loved. This was also cooked on the stove instead of the microwave.
