I’ve seen plenty of flash sale sites come and go. I’ve become addicted to Zulily and check it every morning for the best deals in organic infant and toddler clothing, plus kids wooden toys, and more. I never buy anything without first checking Amazon.comand other online sites via a Google Shopping search plus I figure in the cost of shipping. I won’t buy unless I save a minimum of $5 on a product. Even with my strict buying standards, I purchase from Zulily two to three times every week.
But today I revisited MYHABIT. I looked at it once before a few years ago but thought it was for clothing only. Either they’ve expanded their offerings, or I missed that they offer the same sorts of items Zulily does including items for the home (decor, bed, bath, kitchen, pets, lighting, furniture, rugs, etc.), toys, holidays, and more. Since I know the going price for most every wooden toy and infant organic clothing available now, I did a little poking around to see how MYHABIT’s prices compare with Zulily. I also checked the prices of common items on Amazon and Google Shopping.
MyHabit vs. Zulily – Which Offers the Best Deals?
MYHABIT often was the lowest priced with the exception of a few items. For example, MYHABIT was usually $2-$3 less for the same Melissa & Doug toy as compared to Zulilly and lower than any vendor on Google Shopping. Sure, there were some exceptions, and one glaring one was Learning Resources Snap Cubes Building Block Set of 1000. It was selling for $70 on MYHABIT and $49.99 on Zulily.
What I did notice is that MYHABIT had organic baby clothing in this season’s style while Zulily has last season’s stock from the same retailer. For example, Sweet Peanut, one of my favorite lines of organic clothing for children, has pieces from their current fall line at 50% off on MYHABIT. On Zulily, they have last season’s styles that they also clearance on their website for 50% less than what they’re currently listed for on Zulily. I scooped up several hundred dollars worth of organic infant and toddler pants, tops, dresses, sleepers, and more for $5 to $8 each from the Sweet Peanut website during their 75% off clearance sale.
So what’s all this mean? Which is the better flash sale shopping site and which promises the deepest discounts? Both. You’ll have to do your homework to get the very best deal. But, in general, you’re going to save by buying from either, but if you can only commit to checking on one site on a consistent basis, I’d choose MYHABIT.
To help you shop smarter, we post upcoming Zulily sales, and we’ve just added an ending soon and upcoming MYHABIT sales page as well.
MYHABIT Benefits
MYHABIT has several fabulous benefits that Zulily doesn’t currently offer. The first is free shipping for eligible orders over $99. Plus when you select an item, it’s reserved for you for 10 minutes. A countdown timer lets you know when your reservation is about to expire so there are no ugly surprises like on Zulily when items disappear from your shopping cart because someone else checked out first. You need to make your purchase before the timer expires or hope it’s still available and reserve it again.
MYHABIT Amazon Prime Early Access
If you’re Amazon Prime Member, you can shop events 30 minutes before they’re released to the public. That gives you a chance at the best deals! Use your Amazon Prime account login and password to be sure you can access this feature. Sorry, Amazon Prime’s 2-day free shipping does not apply on MYHABIT.
