Growing up, my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins would all go to the Pocono Mountains for a week in August every year. We would all stay at a little dive motel, one family to a room. Our days were filled with swimming at the lake, playing in the sand and tons of card games.
It became a tradition to go blueberry picking each year and that is when my love of blueberries began. I remember eating them right off the bush and the way they tasted in the pancakes my grandfather would make the next morning. I’ve never been able to get my blueberry pancakes to taste as good as the ones he made, but I keep trying. Until I can figure it out, I have plenty of other sweet treats I can make with blueberries. Here are some of the ones I found recently while searching blogs.
