I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Scholastic. I received free supplies to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
Our family has always loved Scholastic books so this summer we have decided to take part in the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge. It’s a fun program that helps to motivate kids and get them excited about reading by logging their reading minutes, playing games, and earning rewards!
In the midst of our hectic lives and chaotic days, some of my favorite moments in the day are when we quiet down and take the time to sit and read. As a mother of two young children getting them to sit still is not always an easy task. With help from Scholastic, we have decided to set some reading goals this summer and incorporate some fun into reading. Both of my kids under the age of 5, so we set an appropriate goal for them of 20 minutes every day or approximately two to four books a day.
Scholastic has helped me think of new ways to keep my children interested in reading with the Summer Reading Booklist and fun bookmarks they sent us! My daughter love to go through the booklist with me to check off the books we have read together!
Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge – Power Up & Read!
Scholastic has teamed up with the Energizer company to help power up parents and children to find and create new ways to enjoy reading so this year’s Summer Reading Challenge theme is “Power Up & Read”. Through this partnership, Scholastic and Energizer created the “Power of Possibilities” campaign which gives parents the tools they need to discover their child’s strengths and motivate them to be successful in the future. Starting May 4th, 2015, parents can buy any specially marked pack of Energizer batteries to have the chance to win a number of prizes that will fuel discovery and learning for our children! Some of these exciting prizes include a family trip to New York City, a Scholastic Study Corner Makeover, a library of Scholastic books and much more!
