Our spa treatment was provided, our views are our own.
During our stay at the fantastic Icicle Inn which is part of the Icicle Village Resort located in Leavenworth, WA, we were given the chance to try one of their on-site spa treatments at the Alpine Spa. There are too many treatment options to mention them all here, but they include massages, body scrubs and wraps, hair and nail treatments, and facials, which is what we decided to indulge in.
We received the Alpine Spa Signature Facial, a 75-minute treatment featuring Eminence Organic Skincare products. After checking in, we were led to the changing rooms to put on our robes and slippers. We waited in the relaxation room for a few minutes, which has water and various teas available to help you relax and overlooks a small zen garden. There is gentle music throughout the spa that is very calming and helps put you in a relaxed mood. Our estheticians were very prompt with our appointment times and didn’t keep us waiting.
Alpine Spa Signature Facial: My Experience
I had never had a facial treatment before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. My esthetician was Laura, and she did a great job explaining what all the products she used were, and why she was using them. While each part of the facial treatment was soaking in, I also enjoyed foot, hand, shoulder, and scalp massages, which are all a part of the treatment.
Laura asked if I had any problem areas that I wanted to her address, I mentioned that I didn’t like the blackheads on the sides of my nose. Laura took that into account and spent extra time helping to clean up that area for me, and that kind of personalization is something that I admire. At the end of my facial treatment, my skin was visibly smoother and brighter, and the pores on my nose were much smaller. Mary Beth also looked great after her facial treatment, even more youthful than usual.
I would love to go back for another facial or any of their other treatments. I’m especially interested in the Hot Stone Massage, and would love to try it next time we go back to Leavenworth.
