After a winter filled with some intense weather, spring has finally arrived. With it comes plenty of opportunities to celebrate. While November through January may be dubbed the holiday season, March through June is party season. With brides and grooms sending out save-the-date cards, graduates celebrating and end to their educational journey, and families making the move to a new home, there are just so many opportunities to get together with friends and family to celebrate.
But unlike the holidays with their formal dinners and proper attire, spring celebrations can be much more relaxed. That means they’re more fun for the host and the guests!
Spring Party Celebrations – Great Food and Beverages are Key
The popularity of Pinterest has changed the way we entertain. You can’t help but feel a little pressure by seeing all the over-the-top party ideas. But sometimes you just want to strip back all the layers of fluff and get to the core of the party – great food and beverages and time spent with friends. Spring is one time you can do that. It’s nice to put the focus back on taste and the creation of a fun and friendly casual atmosphere after months of putting on elaborate over-the-top holiday presentations.
Spring Party Superstars – RO*TEL’s Rockin’ Guac and Bud Light Lime-A-Ritas
It’s a time to pull out your tried-and-true crowd-pleasing recipes to serve alongside a fun beverage. It’s easy to give a party a kick with RO*TEL’s Rockin’ Guac and Bud Light Lime-A-Ritas.
RO*TEL’s Rockin’ Guac is simple to make, takes about five minutes from start to finish, and severs a crowd for not much money. The secret is the RO*TEL Original Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies with their perfect blend of flavors. It does all the work of creating a deep, rich taste so all you need to do is add avocados, onions, and lime juice. Make up this tasty dip for about $7, much cheaper than prepared guacamole. Plus you get to decide how smooth or chunky it is and the avocados are fresh so your guac is at its tastiest!
- 3 peeled and pitted avocados
- 1 can of zesty RO*TEL® Original Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies, drained
- ½ c. chopped onion
- squeeze of lime juice
- salt and pepper to taste
- Mash the avocados.
- Add the onion along with the drained tomatoes and green chilies.
- Squeeze on some lime juice and add salt and pepper to taste.
You’ll find the RO*TEL’s Rockin’ Guac Recipe on the back of the RO*TEL® Original Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies can, but you can also find it online along with additional recipes at Ro-Tel.com/rockinguac.
Pair your zesty guacamole dip with ready-to-drink Bud Light Lime-A-Rita’s. They’re spectacular and since they’re premixed, your guests can help themselves making it the easiest way to serve delicious margaritas.

That guac looks AMAZING! I really need to try the Bud Light with Lime.
I love both guacamole and Bud Light with lime. How did you know?
Well come on over! We’re having both tonight with some friends and a game!
That looks like a fun party! How do I get an invite? 😛
Having another one tonight – game night with guacamole & Bud Light Limearitas – come on over around 7 🙂
I am loving the Lime-ritas! I’m def going to have to try that dip. it looks amazing!
It’s so easy that I’m making it again tonight. I’m thinking of serving it with grilled cheese quesadillas …. mmmmmmmmmmmm
I would so go for some Lima-a-Ritas right now. And with the guac it is a great score!
Yum! Looks and sounds like a really good meal. My hubby loves guac, so he will love this!
I love Lime-A Ritas! They are a must have when I’m hosting a spring/summer event!
I’m dying to try one of the fruit flavors, like strawberry. I wish they sold a mixed flavor pack. Yum!
I’m not much of a drinker, so I’m jealous. Wish they made these in virgins! Lol!
I drink once a year and this iced in the freezer before serving was perfect.
Sounds SO delicious!!! The summer is all about fresh citrus taste, kicking back with friends, and enjoying some guac!
Always fresh! Love the smell of lemon or lime on my fingers.
This looks like a delicious snack. I will have to make some for my next movie night.
Yum!! I love Rotel and would sure love to try a nice cold Bud Lite Lime A Rita!! Looks like my kind of snack!
Yummy! I’m seeing more and more tasty looking recipes for homemade guacamole. I need to try this one.
This one is sinfully easy, but even better, it tastes great. The RO*TEL add a deepness that fresh tomatoes can’t mimic.
I love margaritas! And the guacamole is making my mouth water!
I love guacamole, and that looks so delicious! I will definitely have to try this recipe out.
I hope you do! I’d love to hear how you like it.
I’m practically drooling, and wanting to plan a night with friends over! Perfect appetizer!!
It’s perfect because it’s quick, easy, and you can mix it up right in front of your friends and serve it immediately – just like the fancy Mexican restaurants do 🙂
Ever since my second pregnancy, I crave guacamole all of the time! Going to have to try this!
That’s a weird pregnancy craving! I say go for it. Avocados have a lot of fat, but it’s good fat your body needs!
I am a huge guac fan! I love Ro*Tel and eat it as salsa every single day. It is a pantry staple in our house.
I never thought of eating it alone as salsa. Duh! I put it in dips so why not? I may have to rethink my salsa habits 🙂 But I like my salsa cold so it’d have to spend some time in the fridge.
This is my husband’s dream come true. I’m sending him this link!
You’re so sweet! Thanks so much for sharing it with the hubby!
Oh I love your guacamole recipe! It looks so easy and delicious! Can’t wait to make some and try it out.
We always have RO*TEL and avocados in the house to make guac! And those Bud Light Lime-A-Ritas are great to combine in a blender with a lot of ice. You blend them up to make slushy beer Lime-A-Ritas. Really good and not too boozy or calorie heavy because of the Bud Light and all the ice.
Oh, I’ll have to try blending one with ice. Sounds delicious! Thanks Anne-Marie!
That guac looks delicious! I cant wait for spring cookouts with friends.
That’s a great guac recipe! I love Rotel, but I’ve never tried it in guacamole before. It looks delicious.
If you love RO*TEL, you’ll love this easy guac. It highlights the flavors of the RO*TEL beautifully.
This looks like the perfect spring/summer party combo. Yummy!!
I love guacamole and margaritas! What a great spring combo!
This looks delcious! I’ve never used rotel to make guac. What an awesome idea!
It made it super simple plus the flavors were fantastic – the canning process brings out the best in the tomatoes and chilies for sure.
I love those Lime-ritas. I founf them last summer at my moms and they were fantastic.
I’d never had them before…they go down very easy 🙂 I like ’em after they’ve been in the freezer for about 20 minutes…icy cold!
I love snacking with chips and guacamole! It is one of my favorites. I had no idea the Lime A Rita had no alcohol. Good to know.
No, I haven’t, but I do want to. The Lima-a-Ritas are super tempting. I don’t get to go out often, but this would be a great way to have a party after the kids go to bed.
Oh Now I know spring is here. I am wanting to try that Rockin guac and sip me so margaritas on the back deck.
I love guac! It’s my favorite dip and this recipe looks amazing. Thank you for sharing.
This guac sounds amazing!! I never thought to add Ro*tel to mine before, sounds amazing!
Ooh that looks good. I could go for some chips and dip right now.
Yum, that guacamole sounds incredible. I’d love a little spice in my guacamole!
Thankfully it’s not really spicy, but the flavors are rich and delicious!
My husband loves Bud Light Lime-A-Rita! He mixes it up between the lime and strawberry.
You just completely reminded me I have a stash of the Mango-Ritas in the garage… brb 🙂
I don’t drink much, but that Lime-rita looks like just what I like. I’ll have to look for that next time we have a party.
I drink about once a year..I made an exception and had two of these. They were that good 🙂
We live in Dallas and love TexMex food. I can’t wait to try your recipe!
Guacamole is one my favorite foods! I love trying new recipes, can’t wait to make this one!
My sister loves guacamole. I love that this is much easier to make as opposed to chopping every single ingredient. Going to have to give this recipe a try!
We love making the Guacamole using Ro*Tel. It is super easy and if I was a drinker, i would totally be getting those Limearitas!!!
I get intimidated by making guac, but you make it look so easy and good! I will be trying this recipe!!
It’s so easy once you know how to pick the avocados. I did a video and I’ll put it up in a few days.
That is SO awesome! I love Rotel and cheese for a dip, but I’ve never thought of adding it to guacamole. That looks delicious.
I’ve honestly never tried guacamole but dang it, after seeing your recipe I have to try this. Looks yummy! And of course a tasty margarita pairs well with any kind of food, in my opinion. 🙂
It’s pretty fantastic 🙂
I love Rotel. It makes an awesome last minute dip if you mix it with some Velveeta.
I’ve made the cheese RO*TEL, but this one is sooooo gooooood 🙂
