We featured a Wagner FLEXiO 570 Sprayer almost two years ago when we were painting the exterior of our home (read: Wagner FLEXiO 570 Paint Sprayer – Painting Made Easy). My husband had nearly completed painting the entire house with a brush and roller when we realized that it could have been done faster and easier with a paint sprayer. He’d balked at using one because the ones he’d used in the past were terribly hard to clean. I had a tough time convincing him to try the FLEXiO 570, but when he did, he regretted not listening to me sooner.
Wagner FLEXiO 590 Sprayer
Since then, Wagner has gone on to improve their sprayer and their newest model is the FLEXiO 590. This indoor/outdoor handheld sprayer includes Wagner’s iSpray® nozzle which is used on broad surfaces, their detail finish nozzle which is used for fine finishing and small projects, combined with their X-Boost® turbine which creates a powerful and flexible painting solution for the home do-it-yourself fan.
What makes Wagner’s FLEXiO airless paint sprayers special is that they can spray residential paint including interior and exterior latex paint, stains, sealers, urethanes, and oil based materials without thinning. Most sprayers require the paint to be mixed with an appropriate medium to thin it before using. This can be messy and worse, if you mix the paint wrong, it can hamper the paint’s ability to be sprayed or how it adheres to the wall.
The FLEXiO sprayers leave a roller-like finish with a slight stipple which means they’re perfect for textured interior walls. With some plastic and masking tape, you can easily prep a room for spraying and then paint it in minutes instead of hours. How fast? The Wagner FLEXiO 590 Sprayer can cover a 8′ x 10′ section* with latex paint in 5 minutes or the same surface with stain in one minute. Imagine how quickly you could stain your deck or paint your kitchen cabinets with one. Me, I’d love the fine sprayer for craft projects or to paint furniture!
Wagner FLEXiO sprayers are available at Lowes, Home Depot, Amazon.com, and other hardware retailers.
