Favorite Skincare Products Of A Busy Mom

Helloooo winter! My skin always takes a beating this time of year, but I’ve been trying to give my skin care routine an overhaul over the past few months as I’m finally out of my 20s and trying to take better care of myself. But, I’m also running after two little boys all day and I’m lucky to take a shower most days, let alone spend a lot of time on my looks.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion is a must-have over here because yes, I’m still dealing with adult acne. This stuff is like magic! Dab some on a pimple and the the blemish goes away practically overnight. Just don’t shake the bottle because I don’t think it works as well.

Skoah’s aha mask comes from a local skin care shop up here in the Pacific Northwest, but they’re expanding with spas around the country and you can order their projects online. I’ve gotten a few facials there and loved it; my aesthetician recommended their exfoliating aha mask and I’ve really seen it helping clear up and clean out my skin.

My face has been SO dry at night and I’d never used a night or eye cream before, so I thought it was time to find one. I love the Origins Night-A-Mins — it’s super moisturizing and packs a bunch of skin-healthy vitamins, but it’s not too greasy.

Burt’s Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme is amazing. It feels like I’m always washing my hands or putting kids in the tub or playing outside in the cold, and as a result my hands are cracked and peeling all winter long. This creme is by far the thickest lotion I’ve tried for my hands and it’s dreamy — makes even my driest spots get better, I love to slather it on right before bed for maximum results. And it smells delish.

Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion is so cool — put it on under your eye shadow and your makeup stays put all day! This is great for me because I barely look in the mirror all day, so it’s nice to know I don’t need to worry about a touch up.
