Disclosure: I’m proud to partner with CVS/pharmacy for this “radiance – Shine Inside and Out” campaign. I am being sponsored to help lead this campaign, but all opinions expressed are my own, and all product claims or program details shared should be verified at CVS.com or with the appropriate manufacturers.
I am VERY picky about what I put in and on my body. It’s a choice that was born out of necessity, and it’s become a way of life for me. But that’s not to say it’s easy to avoid all unnecessary chemicals and ingredients in the products I use because they’re snuck in everywhere. That makes it really hard to figure out what the best products are, even though I’m really good at label reading.
But to add to the equation, I’m vegetarian which can lead to anxiety when it comes to finding products I’ll use. It’s become a mission to find out all of the names used for ingredients that are made from animal products and which additives are natural and which I want to avoid.
Shopping for everyday items like vitamins means more than just what milligram dosage is required or what range of supplements are included in any formula. Those things are important, but I also want natural and vegetarian. Lucky for me, CVS just opened their first store in Washington State and there I discovered their line of vitamins perfect for people like me.
CVS Radiance PLATINUM Vitamins
The Radiance PLATINUM Line by CVS has supplements for everyone. The line currently contains 44 vitamins and supplements with various benefits including some that are vegan, non-GMO, and certified organic. CVS believe in the philosophy of beauty from the inside out and so do I. If you feel good, you have a natural glow that you can’t get from a makeup jar.
While I can get GMO-free and organic supplements from other sources, what’s outstanding about CVS is their pricing and they’re available locally. Being able to walk into a store and pay a fair price for the vitamins I need is something I’ve wanted for years.
About CVS Radiance PLATINUM Vitamins
Shopping for CVS Radiance PLATINUM Vitamins
In the store the CVS Radiance PLATINUM Vitamins are organized by type so it’s easy to pick up just what I’m looking for. It’s a little bit harder online because there’s no way to sort out the vegetarian/vegan products from the others so I have to go through each product’s individual listing to see if it’s a match for me. But each listing does have an overview, list of ingredients and nutrition facts (unfortunately this information is missing from a few), directions for use, warnings, and customer reviews when they exist. I appreciate being able to look up the information online since I’m unable to read the bottles. The type is too tiny and the lovely shiny bottles make them hard to read. But I’m over 50 and wear glasses, for younger people it’s probably not an issue.
Radiance Platinum All-In-One Superfood Chocolate Flavored Nutritional Drink Mix
My new favorite product in the line is the Radiance Platinum All-In-One Superfood Chocolate Flavored Nutritional Drink Mix. I’ve tried powdered mixes before and never liked the taste much. That’s all changed. This all-in-one chocolate flavored drinkable dietary supplement is fantastic. It’s vegetarian and gluten-free and when added to your choice of milk, tastes like a chocolate milkshake. I kid you not!
“Radiance – Shine Inside and Out”
I’ve finally found a use for that monster blender that takes up half my counter. Up until I tried the Radiance Platinum All-in-One Superfood Chocolate Flavored Nutritional Drink Mix I was considering giving it away because I never used it. Now it’s used daily and I wouldn’t give it up because it allows me to make the most incredibly delicious shake that I enjoy as a snack every single day. Yes, it’s that good!
I’ve started freezing banana’s to toss in with it so I don’t have to use ice, but on the day I first tried it, I used ice cubes, 8oz of plain organic soy milk, and one scoop of the All-in-One Superfood Drink Mix. I blended and enjoyed. The next day I did frozen blueberries and organic vanilla soy milk. Since then I’ve had about every fruit and chocolate combination you can think of. Using frozen fruit means I don’t have to add ice which I never seem to have ready in the freezer.
It takes about one minute to throw it all in the blender and blend – faster than unwrapping a candy bar, and it’s so much better for me. Maybe someday I’ll add some greens, but probably not. For now it’s a real treat and I don’t want to ruin that!

How did CVS make its Radiance PLATINUM Line of products even better? They earn points on the CVS ExtraCare Program – it’s a free savings and reward card that gives me personalized coupons and discounts on the types of items I purchase regularly. It also allows me to load any coupons running on CVS directly to my card so that I get the savings without having to remember to clip a coupon and take it to the store – something I can’t ever seem to do before they expire.
Pure. Simple. Radiant.
In fact, CVS has made it so easy that even a coupon-challenged shopper like me can’t help but save. Near the entrance to the store they’ve setup a convenient Coupon Center. Just scan your CVS ExtraCare card and it will print coupons for your favorite products, a summary of the coupons you sent to your card via the web or mobile app, and tell you what your totals are on for the ExtraBucks® Rewards, and more.

Save even more by subscribing for automatic deliveries of your products. There are restrictions and limitations – see the CVS website for complete details.

I want something that actually works & helps me.
I don’t usually take supplements because most of them make me sick to my stomach. So I guess I’d look for something in a gentle formula!

Iron
I look for iron and Vitamin D since I am getting older and don’t get what I need in my food.
I look at the ingredients listed in the vitamins.
I actually do not take them and never have. The past few months I have thought about starting, and I am not really sure what to look for. These sound wonderful and would be a GREAT starting point for me to see how they help me!
I need to know the side effects with my current prescription meds before I’ll try an OTC vitamin or any med.
The purity of the ingredients is the most important aspect of a supplement.
potency is important to me. I hate taking a bunch of vitamins and would rather take a higher dosage.
I love the fact vitamins are USP rated.
I always check the ingrediant list and the reviews online. Have to be sure of a product before buying it! 🙂
It is important for me to get the supplements from a decent company so I will know that they are safe and effective.
I care about the quality and reviews.
I check the quality.
I make sure the quality is amazing.
I check the ingredients and what they will do for me.
The ingredients are important to me.
I always look to see if any supplement contains gelatin before I take it because I’m a vegetarian. It’s actually quite difficult to find vegetarian friendly vitamins and the like.
Don’t forget stearates – many are animal derived. Blech. There are other ingredients as well. It’s a full-time keeping up on them all for sure. I make it easy by looking for vegan vitamins- that way I’m sure they’re vegetarian. I think you’ll like these Leslie.
i would ask my doc first on what i should take
Wow, they just opened up there a CVS! Packed throughout Chicago! Radiance has an extensive product line. I may check them out. I’m low on vitamin C.
I read ingredients before making purchases, they are key factors for me to consider.
Some of the factors that are important are all natural and pricing.
Thank you!
No animal byproducts, the price and safety!
The most important factor the vitamins are organic and vegetarian
To me price is the most important factor
Thanks for sharing. I am always looking for new ways to get healthy and take care of myself.

This sounds like a fantastic line of vitamins! I’m going to look into them some more 🙂
My daughter has in the past year been diagnosed with epilepsy and she has to take vitamins with her medicine. I am always looking for natural alternatives.
I think the ingredients are most important to me when looking for a supplement or vitamin. Then the price!
Same for me! Junk ingredients won’t help so why take them.
I need to take more vitamins!
Ingredients and affordability are what I look to first. Thank you for hosting the giveaway.
I would have loved to try this but we don’t have a CVS here where I live. I remember when I lived in NY they were on almost every corner and I even had the rewards card. 🙂
I guess I have not seen these. Will look for it next time.
Thanks for such a great giveaway! These vitamins look like they could do a lot of good for me!
I need the maximum amount of calcium so that is important m to me.
