My 30-day vitamin organizer – all natural or organic (no artificial colors or flavors – it’s important to me)
When it comes to vitamin supplements, it seems people are pretty hard core in their thoughts – either they are miraculous, or they aren’t needed. I fall somewhere in-between. I try to get all the vitamins and nutrients I need by eating a mostly organic diet with lots of vegetables and fruits, but I am a vegetarian and I have a neurological disorder that’s linked to low Vitamin D and B12 levels (which I have), so for me vitamins are a must.
But I’d take them even if I didn’t have to because I truly believe the right vitamins can make a huge difference. For me though, they have to be completely natural or organic. Otherwise I vomit them within minutes of taking them. It took me years of trying every combination possible – with food, without food, before bed, first thing in the AM, splitting them up and taking them four times a day, etc. The ONLY thing that worked was buying vegetarian vitamins without artificial colors, flavors, and additives.
Herb Pharm: Herbal Capsuls
I’m taking a wide variety of supplements but I’ve added two more in the last month. At the recommendation of the Herb Pharm, I’ve added Asian Ginseng and Rhodiola.
Asian Ginseng – One of the world’s most popular and widely-studied herbs, Asian Ginseng’s usage dates back thousands of years and has earned a reputation in the Orient for its ability to promote body vigor and general health. This herb is regularly used as a rejuvenating tonic to increase energy and vitality, and is a natural complement to busy, stress-filled lifestyles.
Rhodiola – Revered for centuries throughout Asia and Scandinavia for its nourishing and restorative properties, Rhodiola is best known for its ability to promote physical energy, endurance and stamina. Rhodiola also is widely used to support the nervous system from stress, enhance healthy sleep, as well as lift depressed mood and relieve anxiety.
Have they made a difference? I have no idea. But that’s the way it is with most vitamins. It’s a slow change as your body builds up the supplement and one day it dawns on you that you do fill better and have more energy. I’m not there yet, but I’m also at the peak time for my business and sleeping less than 5 hours a night when I’m use to much more, so I’m self-sabotaging a bit at the same time I’m taking the vitamins.

The all-natural veggie caps are a perfect addition to my supplement regime.
But I do know is they’re not harming me – I can take them with no issues and haven’t suffered any side-effects and no episodes of vomiting – so I’m thrilled with the results so far.

I like the fact that you use all natural or organic. That’s awesome.
I think it is great that these are made of veggies. I also think the fact that they are certified organic is great!
I really do need to start taking more vitamins. You’ve made some really good points to me.
I am all for trying the natural remedies prior to meds!
I think we all could use the energy boost. Ginseng is the go to you hear about all the time!
I’ve been lacking on energy these days, Thanks for the info. I need to get some Ginseng!
I am all about the more natural approach. Herbal supplements are a great way to stay on the natural path without harmful chemicals.
That’s crazy that you have such a strong reaction to certain vitamins. I’m glad you’re able to finally find the ones that work for you! I agree with you about supplements. I try to get as much as I can from my food, but I know I can’t get everything.
I love using natural cures for whatever is not right. I usually switch between herbs and oils – love finding new good companies for what we use.
I have been wanting to try a Ginseng supplement. I take cranberry supplements regularly to ward off bladder infections.
Interesting. We don’t add any herb supplements currently. We have a lot of allergies so we do have to be careful adding things even if they are organic/natural. I hope they help!
Who knew there were so many natural remedies! I am not much into herbal medicine myself, but I’ll have to pass this along to my mother in law!
I’ve never tried herbal supplements before. I’m very interested in them, though. They seem like a great way to keep myself healthy.
I have not thought much about this. Always good to know what our options are
We all take supplements in our house. My husband takes them for immune support, my daughter takes them for her gut issues, and I take them because I like to workout often and want to be as healthy as possible. 🙂 I also believe the right vitamins can make a great difference!
My husband and I do take supplements on a daily basis. I’ve taken supplements as far back as I can remember. Never heard of Herb Pharm before, glad I found your blog post.
Thanks for the great article on herbal supplements. I’ve never used them, but I’ve been thinking about it. Aspirin comes from tree bark, and before modern medicine (which hurts as much as it helps, IMO), all we had were natural remedies.
I’m not currently taking anything like this right now, but I’m very interested in it. The veggie caps seem like a great way to substitute some good stuff into my diet.
My husband takes a few herbal supplements, so I will have to tell him to check them out!
I’ve thought about using herbal supplements, but I don’t feel like I know enough about them to take the right things. I’ll have to check these guys out.
Nice, informative review. I’ve been wanting to try natural ginseng for a while and this product sounds like something I could benefit from. Thanks!
Thanks for the review. Honestly, I’m in the they don’t really do anything camp. I do take prenatal vitamins and I try to eat plenty of fruits and veggies. I wonder if vitamins do really make a difference? I don’t know! It’s interesting to read your perspective.
