We covered fun things to do with kids this summer when you’re wishing the weekdays would speed by, but how about the weekends? I don’t know about you, but I count down the days until Saturday when my husband is home with us and we can do bigger adventures together as a family.
One of our favorite things to do together is head over to Alki Beach and ride bikes along the shore. There are a bunch of rental places where you can get surreys, tandem bikes or bike trailers so the whole family can ride together — it’s such a fun way to spend a few hours together.
We’re also trying to take better advantage of all the cool hiking places around here. I’ve heard about some great hikes for toddlers and preschoolers, but even if we’re just out exploring the woods behind our park I think it’s fun to explore together and get a little exercise while we’re at it. When Dad’s along, every outing is an adventure.
