Every holiday we give our children candy and then we tell them they can’t eat it all. How frustrating for them and us! Why not consider replacing the candy with some other sweet treats they’ll enjoy long after Easter is over?
I picked out the best Easter themed book for toddlers. Some are books you likely read as a child, I know I did! Others feature new characters. Some are religious, others all about the Easter Bunny. Any one of them would make a great gift or treat in your child’s Easter Basket! Books encourage so much more than a chocolate egg or candy filled with artificial colors and flavors. Sure, Easter means sweets, but choose a few great quality treats and then fill your child’s basket up with books and treat them as special as the candy and they’ll learn to love books and reading!

It really is frustrating to tell the kids not to eat too much candy on a candy-filled holiday. I love the idea of just not giving them the candy to start with… and still giving them a basket full of awesome things.
Wow didnt know so many Easter books were out. I would like to gift my niece with one and put it in her Easter basket.
very nice choices of books! i was planning to buy my kids this weekend! this is a great tips!
So many great Easter books. I never knew there were so many great choices. Candy does get a little much during these holidays and books are such a better idea for young kids.
It makes me happy to see Easter Baskets like this. I try to limit my grandchildren’s sugar intake because, 1. They go wild after a sugary snack (haha), and 2. It is not good for their teeth and their overall health. I would make something like this and throw in a coloring book and some crayons too.
As much as we like sweets, it’s nice when the Easter Bunny shares other things in the baskets. All the book choices are so darling. Perfect for a little bunny to receive on Easter.
Easter means loads of candy and chocolates but that doesn’t have to be the case all the time. We can totally set up an Easter basket that will take our children’s mind off the candy. Love these ideas!
I love the idea of putting books in Easter baskets instead of candy. My kids used to love getting books.
Yes to this idea! Books are better than sugary snacks and candy which destroy teeth and bodies!
Books are such a great idea. I used to do that when my kids were little.
These are great ideas! I try to never give my kids candy for any holidays. It just makes them crazy and then I have to fuss at them to calm down when I was the one who did it to them!
I love this idea! I think it’s much better to nourish their minds with extra special books and educational items than add more sugar to their diets.
This is such a great idea. The last thing kids need are more candy. I love the idea of replacing candy with educational items like books.
