Let’s face it. Pets are an important part of my life so it’s no surprise that mine are a bit spoiled. As my children bring pets into their homes, I’ve been given the opportunity to spoil my grandpets, and Christmas is one of my favorite times to fill their stockings with new treats.
Yes, our pets have Christmas stockings and I love to fill them with fun toys and treats they’ll enjoy. Is that weird? I love looking through holiday gift guides for ideas, but there’s nothing better than stopping by the store to look, touch, and play with the items before purchasing to be sure my pets will love them.
Gifts for Pets: Walgreens Pet Toys
I recently shopped at Walgreens to checkout their petshoppe brand of pet products. I was thrilled with the selection of toys, treats, clothing, beds, bowls, leashes, collars, and more. Here are some pics I took while shopping so you can see for yourself how many fabulous holiday pet gifts they have available.
If only my girls would wear dog clothes…this little red jacket is adorable! I love that it comes in blue as well and in several different sizes. Sadly not in my granddog’s size or I would have gotten him one. He’s a big boy.
There were so many fun stuffed toys to choose from – most with squeakers and several that made crunchy noises. Great shapes for carrying around the house, tossing, and playing tug with.
Gifts for Pets: Walgreens CatToys
I did shop for the grand cats. Shhhh……don’t tell them. They’re crafty little buggers and they’ve been known to spend a lot of time under the Christmas tree trying to figure out what’s under the wrapping. I thought about the cat toy above but realized it wouldn’t fit in a stocking so I opted instead for a stocking-shaped bag full of cat toys. One for Lucy and the other for Sam.
How cute is this little guy! The perfect size for play and a squeaker for even more fun. I’m not sure why I put him back. I think I got distracted by some of the other toys available.
I love these stuffed holiday cookies. Safe cookies for dogs! The design is adorable.
But my favorite was the monkeys – a girl and boy set. They have plastic water bottles beneath the fabric so they’re a tough chew and they give a satisfying noise upon chewing. Roo is going to love it!
Gifts for Pets: Walgreens Pet Treats
If your family give your pets rawhide, there is plenty to choose from and most are in holiday shapes or colors. Or pick up some of your pup’s favorite treats. I got Roo his favorite bone – a peanut butter stuffed beef bone. It weighs a ton and he drops it all over the house, but man he loves that thing!
There are also pet jerky treats, snack cubes, and more to fill a pet’s stocking and keep them in treats for weeks to come. Check out the vegetable based treats as well. our girls love the freeze dried sweet potato fries.
Gifts for Pets: Jingle Cash
But the best part of shopping to fill my pets Christmas stockings at Walgreens is that I got Jingle Cash! Up to $20 with qualifying purchases.
Plus I got 1000 Reward Points for my shopping trip as well. When I scanned my savings card my bill went down by several dollars – love that!
So I’m all set now for the pets thanks to Walgreens holiday solutions. Their holiday gift guides are a great help for last-minute Christmas gifts for pets and humans alike.
