I received a handmade fresh wreath to facilitate this review; all opinions are my own.
I live in the Pacific Northwest so the smell of fresh pine trees is synonymous with Christmas. While we haven’t had a real tree in years, the joys of living with a firefighter, I do try to retain the scent of Christmas was a live wreath.
While most people hang their wreaths on their front door, I use them as holiday décor. Sometimes as a table centerpiece, other years on the mantel, and even in the kitchen as part of a Christmas display.
Handmade Fresh Wreaths Delivered to Your Door
This year I received a beautiful wreath from Christmas Forest, a company that harvests and makes the wreaths about an hour south of me here in Washington State. They create beautiful handmade wreaths for every décor and I was thrilled to find one in pink instead of the more traditional red and green (though they have plenty of those as well).
I chose Christmas Forest’s Pink Lady Wreath. It’s a 20” wreath with a pink organza bow, delicate pink and white fabric butterflies with ‘gems,’ and pine cones on a noble fir and princess pine wreath. The wreath sells for $44 and $1 from each sale is donated for breast cancer prevention. The price includes free shipping via UPS Ground in the continental US.
The wreath arrived fresh and in fabulous condition. All of the decorative accents are wired into the wreath and simple instructions for making it last are included.
Christmas Forest sells a great selection of wreaths, live green garland and swags, wreath hangers, and holiday ornaments.
Just Add Lights!
I purchased a strand of RTGS Micro LED 20 Blue Color Lights Battery Operated on 7ft Long Silver Color Ultra Thin String Wire and added them to the wreath. The battery box was easily hidden in the base of the wreath and the blue lights added to the overall beauty of it (though I wish I had ordered bright white instead). These micro LED lights are insanely adorable, look fantastic in person, like little stars, and while they don’t twinkle, they sparkle and that’s almost better.
Because the lights are so tiny they fill in the wreath beautifully and the silver cord enhances instead of detracts from the wreath. It’s been on now for over 4 days, 24/7, running on just 3 AA batteries. Yes, they’re dimmer than they were the first day, and I could switch them on/off to save battery life, but it’s Christmas and I love walking into the room no matter what time of the day and night to find them there.
