I received samples of gourmet seafood entrees by Fishpeople Seafood to facilitate this review; all opinions are my own.

Fish People Gourmet Seafood Packets - ad

My husband is pretty darn excited about four gourmet seafood entrees from Fishpeople Seafood company from Portland, Oregon. These ready-to-eat entries are packaged in shelf-stable packaging that allows you to heat them in 3 minutes right in their BPA-free pouch.

What’s even better, these entrees are made from sustainably harvested seafood in the wild, not farm raised. They’re harvested near where they’re processed and then local vegetables and herbs from Washington and Oregon are added to complete the meals.

One comes complete with a carbohydrate, the others are best with the addition of one – say rice or noodles. I made a large batch of organic brown rice to  serve with them. I boiled a pot of water and submerged the packages for three minutes. That’s it! I did make some organic peas to have on the side and the hubby tossed them on to a few of the entrees as well. That’s just his serving suggestion, they’re not included :).

Heat and Eat Gourmet Seafood Entrees - ad

How’d they taste?  My husband loved them all, even the two with a little heat. His favorite was the Chinook Salmon in a Chardonnay Reduction Sauce. It was as tasty as any seafood prepared in a restaurant and I loved that the ingredients are recognizable, they’re low calorie, and they have no preservatives. That I can stand behind!

But even better, my husband was thrilled that they’re shelf-stable so he’ll be taking them on his next hunting trip. He’s always looking for great food that’s easy to make out in the field, and these are perfect! Plus we’ll be purchasing these to keep in the pantry. All of them are fabulous for a quick dinner, gourmet lunch, or on a trip.
