I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Dove® Clear Tone™ . I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.
In a perfect world I wouldn’t need anti-perspirant. Sadly, I don’t live in a perfect world so I’m always searching for one I can use and feel good about. I’m currently using Dove’s Clinical Strength deodorant, but they’ve got a new one out I was asked to try.
This new version, Dove Clear Tone Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant, is formulated to cut irritation and that’s something I’m pretty excited about. Shaving can make me crazy with itching and pain and it turns out it’s because shaving strips away 50% or more of the skin’s moisture and that creates an environment just ripe for dryness and irritation. Who knew? I sure didn’t! Who thinks to moisturize their underarms?
Thankfully Dove Clear Tone Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant formula does the moisturizing for you and it works to reduce the red marks caused by shaving. Within two weeks skin looks and feels better in the delicate underarm area thanks to the sunflower and Calendula seed extracts. The two work together to accelerate the skins natural healing process plus Done Clear Tone provides you with up to 48-hours of odor and wetness protection.
My Dove Clear Tone Deodorant Test
I loved the fresh scent, though I usually prefer non-scented. It goes on clear so there’s no white deodorant marks on the side of my shirt, thank goodness, I hate that! It kept me odor free all day and with minimal sweat through (though very few keep me completely dry, this performed at about the same effectiveness as their Clinical Strength version).
Dove Clear Tone Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant is available in the following formulas:
- Skin Renew Invisible Solid — Light floral notes of violet, lilac and rose with vanilla musk;
- Sheer Touch Invisible Solid — Light citrus notes with hints of almond and coconut milk; and
- Clinical Protection Skin Renew — Offers prescription-strength wetness protection with the maximum level of active ingredients (20%) available without a prescription.
