Well that’s embarrassing! I meant to save the links below because they inspired some crochet pieces I’m working on and I hit “publish” instead of draft. Doh! They’re a gift for my soon-to-be daughter-in-law so there goes that surprise!
The red I’m using is Lily Sugar’n Cream Yarn, Red – I love it! The color is a perfect red and unlike most of the Sugar ‘n’ Cream line, this one is soft right off the bolt and my hands are loving it. I finished a variation of the first two links below last night and I’m working on a variation of the third link right now. I’ll have photos and my variations soon.

I’m going to be buying Lily Sugar’n Cream Yarn, Sage and Lily Sugar’n Cream Yarn, Black in the same line to coordinate with the dishes on her registry. A very nice set of Corelle Livingware Geometric 16-Piece Dinnerware Set with black and sage on white. The red is a nod to the color she’s chosen for her small appliances.
I love, Love, LOVE that color! I love the striped placemats! Thank you for sharing.
This is such a pretty color to make a crocheted item for your soon-to-be daughter-in-law! I can not wait to see what you make, and I am sure that she will love what you give her.
Thanks Karen. If I could, I’d crochet all day. It’s addicting 🙂
