Blake Shelton, Danielle Bradberry and Cher The Voice 2013How Old Is Cher?

Last night The Voice finished its season in a 2-hour finale by crowning 16-year old Danielle Bradberry as the winner. But she was overshadowed by Cher making her first appearance in over 10-years singing a her new single.

Why? Well first because Cher is 67 years old; something I Googled the minute I saw her face. That’s because she hasn’t got a line on her face thanks to some of the best plastic surgeons in the business. Unlike most over-operated-on-celebs, she actually still looks very natural. Plus, for a nearly 70-year-old, her body is rockin’!

I’ll admit, I spent her entire performance trying to figure out if Cher was lip syncing or not. I suspect she wasn’t, but she was being solidly backed by a pre-recorded track. I do remember watching the Sonny and Cher show back in the 70’s and she was fabulous, so I’m assuming she’s still got some of it.

Her outfit on the other hand was ridiculous – leggings + skirt = skeggings? And the hair? Well red carpet photos show how it looked after the show which explains it a bit, but Twitter and Facebook dubbed it a dead bird hat during her performance. Why she lost her trademark black hair I don’t know, the new look isn’t working.

Bradberry Wins The Voice 2013

But like I said, Team Blake pulled out another win, coach Blake Shelton’s 3rd win, which was left for the last few seconds of the show to announce. Bradberry beat out the Swon Brothers and and Michelle Chameul, though I suspect they’ll do well in the future as well. This season any one of the the 3 finalists would have been fine – they were all amazingly talented.

What’s interesting about Bradbery is that the Texan has never had a vocal lesson. She was urged by her cousin to use her natural talent to sing. Her first performance was at a church festival and she’s been singing ever since. As a country artist, it’s no surprise that she lists Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, and Martina McBride as her influencers.

Coach Changes for Season 5

Executive producer  Mark Burnett has announced that both Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green will be returning for season 5. Shakira and Usher will come back in early 2014 after the Winter Olympics.  Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Carson Daly will return as well.

Burnett released a statement which confirmed the changes saying, ““I am so thrilled that our ‘Voice’ family has grown from four coaches to six. The coaching panel of Christina, CeeLo, Adam and Blake was at the heart of this show in its first three seasons and we are so lucky to have found equal success with Shakira and Usher in season 4. Our best seasons are ahead of us.”

“The Voice” returns for its fifth cycle in the fall.

So what do  you think? Did you watch the finale? Did YOUR singer win? Are you excited to see the coach change?
