I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Cascade. I received a Cascade Platinum sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank me for participating. All opinions are my own.
Cascade Platinum Dish Washer Detergent
Well, the new dishwasher is here and I’m mostly in love (read about my terrible luck with dishwashers here). First, I love that it came with a sample of Cascade Dish washing soap – that tells me the manufacturer recommends it and since we’ve had the worst luck with dishwashers lasting more than 5 years, I’m happy to know that the soap I’ll be using is OK. Second, I love the looks of the outside, but silly me, dark gray is not a good color on the inside for low-sighted people like me!
Still, now I can really give Cascade Platinum a try out with a new machine. I love that the Cascade Platinum packs are all-in-one; pre-measured and ready to go. Just drop them in the detergent spot, close it up, and clean! So far everything has been great and our dishes look fabulous. Granted we’ve only done two loads since the new dishwasher was installed. We’ll see how they both hold up over the next few weeks.
How to Load Your Dishwasher Correctly
You’d think this is second nature, but you’d be surprised you may be doing it wrong! Check out how dishwashing detergent works and what you need to do to make sure you’re helping it work to its full potential.
In the meantime, check Cascade’s “My Platinum” Instagram contest! It just launched and it’s your chance to show off your sparkling dishes and dishware for a chance at some great prizes! Just snap a photo that represents that weeks’ theme – for example, this week it’s “My Platinum Bite” – photos should be of your best bite and most creative use of sparkling silverware. For complete details on the prizes and how to enter, visit http://tinyurl.com/PlatBlog.
Gail Simmons Partners with Cascade
Also, did you know that Gail Simmons, one of my favorite foodies and Top Chef Judges (she’s also the editor of Food+Wine magazine), has partnered with Cascade? She’ll be sharing why she thinks food presentation is as important as preparation – look good, taste good!
We usually see Gail critiquing other’s cooking – here’s a fun video where she’s wearing the apron!
