This post for Chunks O’ Fruti 100% Natural Fruit Bars was made possible though the Collective Bias™ Social Fabric Community™. I have been compensated for my time; however, all opinions are my own. #cbias #socialfabric
We’ve had some hot days here in Seattle and with them come the urge to have an ice cream or frozen pop. But since I started reading labels a few years ago, I’ve had to give up most every frozen sweet treat with the exception of an occasional organic ice cream. But ice cream doesn’t refresh the way that frozen juice bars do.
Still, I’d pretty much given up trying to find a frozen treat that passes my strict eating requirements. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been head deep into the recesses of the freezer at my local grocery store, desperately trying to read the labels on frozen pops, trying to find just one option that was artificial color- and artificial flavor-free. I know Popsicle® is an iconic brand, but have you read their labels? Scary! But thanks to a trip to my local Sam’s Club, I don’t have to resort to a chemical-filled ice pop to quench my needs.
Fruti Natural Fruit Bars
Fruti natural fruit bars are not only free from artificial colors and flavors, but they’re also Non-GMO certified and they don’t contain any high fructose corn syrup (I’ve been living a HFCS-free lifestyle for some time now). These are as close to perfect as I can get for my healthier way of eating, so they’re a treat I don’t have to feel guilty about!
These premium frozen treats are made with real fruit – chunks of strawberry, pineapple, shredded coconut, and more; not with artificial flavors that are overly sweet or chemical tasting. In fact, fruit is the number one ingredient in all of their bars.
There are four flavors in the Sam’s Club Fruti specialty pack I picked up:
- Pina Colada: 190 calories – pineapple, coconut cream, water, cane sugar, natural stabilizers (guar gum, carob bean gum, carrageenan), citric acid
- Strawberry: 120 calories – ingredients: strawberries, water, cane sugar, natural stabilizers (guar gum, carob bean gum, carrageenan), citric acid
- Caribbean Mix: 120 calories – ingredients: strawberries, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, coconut flakes, water, cane sugar, natural stabilizers (guar gum, carob bean gum, carrageenan), citric acid
- Strawberry Cream: unfortunately this flavor’s information is not listed on their website.
Each flavor is packed in its own box and each bar is individually wrapped. There are 16 bars total and my local store priced them at 9.88 for the box. At 62 cents a bar, they’re also affordable, especially because they’re made with REAL food. Instead of getting a mouth full of chemicals, I’m getting the most delicious and fresh flavors.
I didn’t think I’d like the bars so I planned on giving them to the neighborhood kids. One taste though and I tucked them up in my freezer. Next time I’ll buy another box for the kids…there was only one box in my Sam’s Club so I’m keeping these for myself!
Yes, they do have sugar and calories. But compared to the standard freezer treats these are such a healthier option. Fruti offers many other flavor combinations so check your Sam’s Club or Walmart to see what they stock near you.
Trust me, these are AMAZING.
I’m going to look for these. I love strawberries in any way, shape or form, and these sound delicious. I like how said you’d have food in your mouth, and not chemicals. You’re so funny! (But I do know what you mean!)
I want to try these also. I sure hope Walmart cares them, no Sam Club since I’m a family of one. Start with Celebrate but I must count the carbs so I’ll see what works. Thanks fro the review and everythng yuo do for your readers.
Ah, you’re so kind! I’m headed to Sam’s Club today to buy another box of these. I’m drooling thinking about it! 🙂
I love frozen treats during the warmer months. I have not tried these before, but I must admit that the pina colada flavor sounds wonderful! I just love anything with coconut. I hope that these are in bulk at either our Sam’s or Walmart.
I can’t wait for my Sam’s to restock….I’m all out already 🙂 I can’t tell you how wonderful these truly are. So delicious!
These sound so good! I’ve never seen them at Walmart — I will have to check at Sam’s! Love the fruity treats, so refreshing after a day in the yard.
I *MAY* have eaten 4 of them today. 🙂 I need an intervention. Thankfully two are the equivalent of a candy bar, still. I need to slow down.
They look so good and refreshing. love that this is healthy for my whole family to enjoy, Sam’s club here we come! Thank you for posting
So very, very good. I promise!
These looks so delicious, and with summer coming would be great to have on hand. I like the flavor of Carribean mix with all the fruit flavors. I will have to get these!
I almost passed on the Caribbean….so glad I didn’t. It’s NOTHING like the ones found at the grocery store. It’s so yummy!
These look delicious, I don’t believe I have ever seen these at the store before.
I bought the very last box at my Sam’s Club 🙂
