This post about the Verizon Droid DNA from HTC is the 3rd in a series for the #VZWBuzz Lifestyle Blogger program. All opinions are my own.
I’m having a hard time giving up my Verizon Droid DNA from HTC. I love every little thing about it – the big screen, access to all my favorite apps, and the great battery life. I’ve shared some of my favorite features in previous posts, but today I wanted to share more about the DNA’s camera feature.
Verizon Droid DNA from HTC – Camera
First, for a camera phone, it’s pretty darn great. I don’t use it as often as most people probably do because I have a camera-phone sized camera that I use 90% of the time. But for the times I do use the DNA, it produces some really good pics.
I recently used it on a trip to Las Vegas where I left my other camera in the room and used this one throughout my stay. The photos outside in the sunlight were as good as any camera I’ve used. It wasn’t as clear and crisp in low light, but then very few cameras are.
The shutter speed is a adequate and it’s equipped with a self-timer and timed photo review (which I love – it lets me know if I got the shot or not instantly). It also takes full HD quality video. It has some limited stylized effects including vintage, grayscale, sepia, depth of field and more that can be added to the photo prior to taking it. Plus it offers some minimal effects like auto enhance, high contrast, etc., after the photo has been taken.
Sharing the photos is easy – upload them to your Picasa account, send them to Facebook, email, them or choose one of the other many ways to connect. Of course, you can also connect the smartphone to your computer with a mini-usb cord and remove the files that way.
Verizon Droid DNA from HTC – Final Thoughts
The Verizon Droid DNA from HTC is an phone that leans towards entertainment and social media and that’s why it works for me. I’ve compteley fallen in love with it and though it’s time to move on to a new phone, I’m having a hard time leaving it behind. It works for my lifestyle and is perfect for someone like me who spends a great deal of time in social media.
