We have been a Honey Bunches family since their original Honey Bunches of Oats cereal was first produced in 1988, so every time Post comes up with a new flavor, we have to try it.
Honey Bunches of Oats Greek Honey Crunch cereal
While everyone in the family has their favorite flavor, Post’s new Honey Bunches of Oats Greek Honey Crunch cereal appealed too many of us. My son because it’s nut-free and he loves the crispy whole grain flakes and me because I love the granola made with Greek yogurt and touch of sweetness supplied by a bit of honey. It’s not too sweet and it’s as crunchy and delicious as all the other flavors we’ve enjoyed.
Even better than the taste is the fact that it packs 33 grams of whole grains in one serving which is over two-thirds of your day’s whole grain requirements. In fact, nutritionists recommend getting a minimum of 48 grams of whole grains per day and you’ll get 33 of those in just 1 cup of Honey Bunches of Oats Greek Honey Crunch. But will it cost you a lot of calories for all that whole grain? Nope, one cup is only 230 Calories. And they’ve packed their cereal with 12 essential vitamins and minerals and 5 grams of protein per serving.
If you’re going to enjoy cold cereal, make sure it’s one that provides more than just a sugar rush. Choose one that will improve your nutrition but still taste great.
This new flavor is available in your supermarket in the cold cereal aisle.
