We’re staying in Las Vegas this week. We’ve been here many, many times. In fact we’ve stayed at nearly every hotel at least once and a few more than once. This is my husband’s version of Disneyland. He does Disney for me, I do Vegas for him.
This time we’re staying at the Red Rock Casino and Spa because I’m attending a press event later this week. We came a few days early to enjoy some time here and I’ll admit, when we first arrived here we HATED it. I’ll share more about that soon, but after spending a few hours at the pool yesterday we grew to love the charm of the place.
Here are some pics of our time out at the pool yesterday. The weather was perfect (in the mid-70’s) and there colors where stunning! All of the photos were taken with my Droid DNA camera phone (read more about it here: Verizon Droid DNA from HTC Smartphone – Getting Acquainted … and Verizon Mobile HTC Droid DNA – Personal Entertainment System …).
Red Rock Casino Pool
My cabana boy may be older than most, but to me he’s lovely. Such a sweet man and yes, he was completely overdressed for the pool area. We’d just finished gambling and having lunch so he made his way upstairs and came back down in shorts. This skinny boy is embarrassed by his tiny legs….he’s a runner.
This was delightful and so icy cold. Perfect for the weather and for a sweet treat I only get every few years. So much fun…but I did make a sticky mess when I stuck my foot in the empty cup (always the klutz).
Disappointingly they close the pool very early. At 7pm it was already cordoned off and it was still 69 and gorgeous out. It would be a fabulous place to watch the sun go down, but alas, no entry allowed. Still, I love these photos of the empty pool area.
:me:
Strange that the pool closes so early. I understand that they want people in the casino, and not at the pool, but this would be a deal-breaker for me if I were looking for a hotel.
Way too early. I’m sure during the summer months it’s open later, but during the time we were there it was disappointingly early.
It looks beautiful – I’ve only been twice to Las Vegas, I love it there. specially the shows.
I understand about noise from a pool area after maybe 9pm, but 7pm?? Did they give a reason for closing so early. Beautiful place.
That stinks about them closing the pool so early. I’ve never heard that before in such a ncie hotel. BTW, your hubby is adorable.
