We’re always up for trying new food, especially when that new food is fruit-based and yummy! And that’s just what we tried out recently when we received several new DOLE Fruit Crisp flavors to try.
To give the family a chance to try them all out, I set up a tasting station with signs so they knew all of the flavors available. And then we went about “assembling” our treat. Just pull off the top, open the topping, pour it onto the fruit, and enjoy! To stir or not to stir…that’s a personal question! I’m a traditionalist and as such, I never stir!
The family was divided on what our favorite flavors were. Three of us preferred the traditional Apple Cinnamon Crisps, two liked the updated Apple Pear and just one preferred the Peach. It’s great that we can all have the one that fits our tastes best.
Quick Fix Snack – DOLE Fruit Crisp
These new single-serving fruit treats are a great quick fix when you need a little something sweet without eating empty calories. Plus they pack quickly for lunches, picnics, or toss one in your purse for the afternoon slump when you need a little boost to make it through to dinner.
I liked that they weren’t too sweet and the apples were soft without being mushy and at about 160 calories each it’s a treat I don’t have to feel guilty about. Plus they’re packed with real fruit and a crunchy oat topping that can be eaten at room temperature, chilled, or warmed. My favorite is warmed…..mmmm…. a fabulous fruit crisp in 1 minute!
I love these new DOLE Fruit Crisps. They make a fabulous dessert or snack anytime. My only wish is that they were organic and that there wasn’t caramel color, but as an occasional treat I’ll keep them on my snack rotation!
You can find this new treat in the canned fruit aisle. It retails for about $2.19 for a 2-pack
