We love games and have played them with our kids since they were toddlers. Before that I played them with my parents. Board games are such a great way to connect as a family and so many great memories are wrapped up with them.
Stocking Stuffer Ideas
We’re going to be trying out some new games this holiday season. I’ll be putting several Mattel dice games in the kids’ stockings that I’m sure we’ll be playing as soon as they’re unwrapped. All of them are based on popular card games that we already love.
The best part? None of these games beep, talk, shake, or roll so no batteries are required! Their pieces store inside their cans so they’re easy to take on vacation, to school, to a friend’s house, or any other time you can set aside an hour to have some family fun.
Skip-Bo® Dice Game
This is Skip-Bo on steroids! Players need to roll the Skip-Bo Dice quickly with the goal of matching the Skip-Bo Mission Cards. The first player who collects five cards wins the game! For two to four players ages 7 & up. Includes 12 dice, 17 Skip-Bo cards, and instructions.
PHASE 10® Dice Game
Each player has up to 3 chances to complete the phrase and the player who completes all ten phrases first wins. This set includes 10 dice and a score pad. For ages 7+
UNO® Dice Game
We love UNO and we’ve played many versions. This dice game is a twist on the traditional card game where players start with five dice, but if they’re unable to play, they have to take another die. The winner is the first player who gets rid of all their dice. Includes 11 dice and instructions. Ages 7+
