I love Maya Angelou. She’s a sage that speaks to my heart. She speaks about being a better person, about connecting with others, and about doing good.
The quote above is one of my favorites. It reminds me that humans get upset about stupid things; especially us Americans. There are much bigger issues in the world so these minor annoyances are just an exercise in patience. It makes life so much easier when I look at the big picture.
If you haven’t read any of Angelou’s books, make the time and try one. My favorite is, “.” That one speaks to my own life experiences and helped me realize the value in just moving on. You may find one of her other books a better fit; but I think you’ll find them all a rewarding read.
