CASTLE - Season 4 available on DVD

Are you a fan of crime fighting shows?  If so be sure to check out ABC’s Castle: The Complete Fourth Season now available for purchase on DVD.  This often comical crime fighting team is back with bigger and better cases needing investigation.

Castle stars Nathan Fillion (“Firefly”) as Castle, Stana Katic (”24”) as Becket, Jon Huertas (“NCIS”), Seamus Dever (“Army Wives”), Susan Sullivan (“Dharma & Greg”), Molly C. Quinn (“A Christmas Carol”), and Tamala Jones (“My Name Is Earl”).  This successful cast makes for some very entertaining television.

The special features on this DVD set are great!  The one I enjoyed the most was Fillion and Friends: Castle Goes Radio.  Nathan and some of the cast perform a live radio broadcast like an old-time radio show from the past.  This is a fun special feature for sure.  Other special features include Submerged: An In-Depth Look at Stunts, which features a special behind-the-scenes close-up of the challenges that develop while filming a difficult car stunt for the show.  There is also audio commentary available, deleted scenes, and some hilarious Bloopers.

For those of you who haven’t seen a Castle episode, you are truly missing out.  One of my favorite episodes of Castle Season 4 was the Heros and Villians episode.  The chase is on to find out which masked crusader was behind the death of a man.  My husband and I were caught both laughing and jumping from the suspense.

This show mixes great human development with crime fighting.  The characters are well created with great chemistry between Nathan Fillino and Stana Katic.  I especially love the relationship Castle has with his daughter and mother.  This show is not just about the cases Castle and Becket are chasing down, there is a great human story behind each episode and for that I applaud Castle.
