I know, I said I wouldn’t be posting any more pictures of my naked skin, but that was before I found out I’d be trying out the Clarisonic Pro Sonic Skin facial cleaner. It’s been two weeks since I ended by last skincare regime and in the interim I’ve used just water and organic soap to cleanse my face. I wanted to give my the Clairsonic a fresh chance at improving my skin.
The Clarisonic Pro Sonic Skin Cleansing system is a rechargeable appliance that is used to cleanse your face and body. It’s a small, compact, and ergonomically shaped device that can be used at the sink or even in the shower. It has 4-speeds (low, normal, high and pro speeds plus Body Mode – normal and pulse) and several brush heads (which need to be replaced as they wear out).
It also comes in several colors and the color denotes which brush head you’ll receive – the gray model comes with a normal brush head while the others arrive with a sensitive head.
But why do you need an electronic device to clean your face? It’s said to be 6 times more effective than using your fingertips alone and to help your skin-cleaning products worth their way into your pores easier. If you’re using expensive facial products, it could mean using less for the same results.
Clairsonic Pro Video Overview
I unboxed the unit and set it up on the counter. I was having some issues getting the unit to fit snugly in the base until I looked at the instructions and realized I had it in backwards. Duh! Once it was inserted the correct way, the lights came on to let me know it’s charging. Sadly it needs to charge for 24-hrs before I can use it, but I did wet it and try it out for 10-seconds on my face and I really enjoyed it. I can’t wait to try it out for real tomorrow. I’ll be using the products included with the unit but it can be used with any cleanser.
BEFORE CLARISONIC PRO PICTURES
So what do I expect to find once I start using the Clarisonic Pro? I’m looking forward to brighter skin, fewer blackheads, reduced oiliness, and fewer dry patches. I’m also hoping for fewer blemishes – I’m 50, I shouldn’t have pimples! I’m also looking forward to the timer that is built-in to remind me to cleanse each area the appropriate amount of time (I tend to over cleanse which can cause problems as well).
I can’t wait to get this test drive on the road. I’ll use the new system for a week or so and will post my results along with updated make-up free photos. I think I have more photos posted of me without makeup than with!
Have you heard of the Clarisonic Pro and have you tried one? I’d love to find out some hints and tips before I begin my quest.
