Quick and easy White and Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk Small-Batch Cookie Recipe – crispy and chewy and full of flavor- a great recipe for kids to make.
- 1 c plus 2 TBL all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 6 TBL brown sugar, firmly packed
- 6 TBL granulated sugar
- ¾ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- ¾ c white chocolate chunks
- ¾ c semi-sweet chocolate chunks
- ½ c nuts (pecans or walnuts) – optional
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- In small bowl, mix flour, salt, and baking soda – set aside
- In mixing bowl cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until combined.
- Add vanilla extract and egg and beat until completely mixed and light and fluffy.
- Add the flour mixture and mix on low only until incorporated (don’t over mix).
- Hand stir in chocolate pieces and optional nuts.
- Form 1″ balls and place 2″ apart on cookie sheets
- Bake 8-12 minutes or until lightly browned
