Shopping for Cheerios to Cheerios SendCheer To Military Families

I was on a mission today to find the Cheerios sendCheer campaign specially-marked boxes.  I visited three Walmarts and finally found them!  The nice thing is I got to use my new GPS – I had no idea there was a 3rd Walmart store even near me.

Of course, once I got to the Walmart Supercenter (my final stop and the location where I found the boxes) I got a  bit distracted  all the holiday merchandise they’ve added since last weekend.  I couldn’t help myself, I love the new colors – teal, hot pink, and purple.  If I had a little girl one of the white trees with pink ornaments would be up in her room ASAP!  But since that’s not going to happen because I have boys and they went and grew up on me, all I can do is dream about my girly tree.

But, my mission was successful.  I found the boxes (on the bottom shelf so look everywhere) and I walked out with them and some cinnamon scented pine cones.  Mmmmm….  I got the box home, carefully cut out the postcard, filled it out, and now it’s ready for a stamp.  It’s headed to the USO who will forward it on to a military family AND Cheerios will donate $1 to the USO for my effort.  Nice, huh!

Plus it’s reminded me I have boxes ready for the Post Office to go to military personnel in Afghanistan and Iraq.  I just have to visit AnySoldier.com and pick out who to send them to.  So I’ll be taking them and the post card tomorrow.

So next time you’re at Walmart, look around for the boxes. They’re currently $3 so a bargain to do some good for our military families.
