TJ Maxx Marshalls LogoBack-to-school shopping is a big deal. We all know that. I’m imagining that as your children get older and hit the tween and teen years it becomes an even bigger (and more complicated) deal. Finding all the “trendy” clothes while still sticking to a budget can be a daunting task, especially when you have children that want to look fashionable and wear the styles that their peers are wearing as well as looks that their favorite celebrities flaunt.

It’s no mystery (to me at least) that both T.J. Maxx and Marshall‘s are two stores that help with the “fashion on a budget” dilemma, whether you’re still shopping for school clothes, getting ready for the holidays or updating your wardrobe for the colder months. What I love most about T.J. and Marshall’s is that unlike other “discount” stores, here you’re getting name brand, high-quality, items at reduced prices — not poorly made clothing that sells at low prices and deteriorates after a wash or two.

Last month I was given the chance to spend $50,  provided by the T.J. Maxx/Marshall’s brand, to help search for the perfect back-to-school find. Honestly, I found it within 10, maybe 15 minutes of entering the store. I kind of knew what I had in mind for my daughter and I found it almost to a T.  Check out my picture below:

Both of these items together cost under $50 and are definitely worth a lot more. The Maggie & Zoe outfit actually has 3 pieces: the tunic, leggings and a matching headband. Aside from the “quantity” factor, the quality is top notch. I can tell that these items are one’s my daughter will be wearing often until she grows out of them. Even as she does grow, the long tunic will be able to grow with her, how’s that for a bargain?

With so many locations nationwide, I’m sure you won’t have any trouble finding either a T.J. Maxx or Marshall‘s close by, but if you need a little help, check out their store locator (Marshalls & T.J. Maxx)

P.S. Don’t forget to check out their home goods department as well! The day I went shopping for school clothes, I also found a beautiful damask shower curtain which was originally $89.99 for only $19.99!
