Green Works Home Care Products
Looking for a greener clean? I am, and recently I got the opportunity to try out several of Green Works‘ products to see how they compare to my normal chemical-free cleaning products.

Green Works Compostable Cleaning Wipes
Green Works® Naturally Derived Cleaning Wipes
I’m not usually a fan of individual wipes, preferring a spray and reusable wipe instead, but when I cook with meat I’m all for cleaning it up and tossing away the germs. I’m a germ freak by nature and a vegetarian, so I’m probably bothered more by the blood and gunk than most, and using a wipe just makes life easier in that instance. And what I like about the Green Works wipes is that they’re made from naturally derived ingredients so they don’t have any harsh chemical or overly perfumed smells and they’re 100% biodegradable. They’re safe for most non-wood surfaces but I admit, I use them on my butcher block counter top all the time. I also love that I can wipe down my ceramic stove top and Formica counter top with the same wipe and it works equally well on both. I do find I have to use two wipes at a time because I like to cover a bigger area and have more between me and the yuck. I also love the redesigned top. It’s much easier to get the wipes out now and without pinching my fingers.
Green Works® Naturally Derived All-Purpose Cleaner
This is a great all-purpose cleaner that I use all around the house. On the French doors where the dogs leave their marks, in the bathroom, and in the kitchen. It has a synthetic “clean” smell, but it’s not overpowering like most chemical fragrances

Green Works Laundry Detergent
Green Works® Laundry Detergent
What I love about it is it’s phospahtes-free and cleans without optical brighteners and harsh chemicals. It works in both HE and old washers like mine. There’s no soapy residue; just clean laundry.
Green Works® Naturally Derived Bathroom Cleaner
This is the one that rescues me from scrubbing! It powers through soap scum, rust, and hard water stains without the horrible chemical fumes of most traditional bathroom cleaners. I use it in the shower, in the bathtub, toilet, and just about every surface in the bathroom.
I think that Green Works is a great line that’s making strides and they’ve got the clean part down. There’s room for improvement in their “green.” I’d love to see them go even more natural and remove the dyes and synthetic fragrances completely from their products, but I’m happy that for a major brand they’re working towards a greener clean.
