48 Hour Logo Design Service ReviewDid you notice my new logo?  The old one was something I put together in a hurry to go with the new theme, but it was never very professional.  I hate the name MiscFinds4u and it’s left over from my days as an eBay seller, but I’ve been using it too long to change it. To change it now would make Google move my page rank to zero and I don’t think I have it in me to start all over again.

So the name stays but I wanted a new logo.  A blogging friend used a service I’d not seen before – 48hourslogo.com– and I liked the way the system worked, so I gave it a try.  How it works is simple.  Give a little bit of information about your site, what you’re looking for in a logo, design inspirations if you have them, and then you post how much you’re willing to pay.  The site tells you the general amount most people pay and the more you pay, the better quality the the designer who participates will be.  You can also check out the designer’s profiles and invite 3 to participate.

I paid my $89, sent 3 invitations, and set my due date about 5 days out hoping to get better participation.  And I think it worked.  I had several logos that I liked enough to comment back to the designer to make tweeks and changes for me.  In the end, I chose the first one below, although I liked the concept of the magnifying glass.  I think if I’d have taken more time with it we could have come up with something, but I’m ok with the whole flowers and butterfly theme.  While they may not suit “Miscellaneous Finds” they do suit me.

Here are some of the other contenders:

So what do you think? Did I pick the right one?  I love the design but I had a hard time choosing from some many great ideas.
