Our cruise to Alaska was one of the most beautiful vacations we’ve ever taken. Granted it was a bit different than my other cruise experiences. It’s the first time I’ve ever traveled to the bowels of a ship, where the crew lives, to spend time with the ship’s doctor (a bit of a quack) for a diagnosis of Legionnaires Disease. And as if I wasn’t sick enough, we then went through some of the roughest seas I’ve ever experienced on a cruise.
After two days of mandatory cabin quarantine under threat of being billed for my medical services if I was caught outside of it, I was finally feeling better and got a chance to enjoy some fabulous ports of call. It’s a trip I’d definitely do again, puking and all.
