Thanks to fellow WW follower, Beth @ TheAngelForever and TheAngelForever on Twitter), I’ve found out why I didn’t lose last week. It seems Weight Watchers Online is set to maintain weight, rather than lose weight, by default.  That explains why my point allotment was so high and why I didn’t lose last week.  I’ve since fixed the program to lose weight which lowered my allotted points by 6, and  I manually lowered my point by an additional 3 (the most allowed), so I’ve gone from 50 to 41.  I’m gong to try to keep from converting any of my exercise points and go without using my weekly “cheat” points for the next few weeks while it’s still relatively easy.

Here’ my food diary for yesterday. I actually did drink water!  I saw a commercial for one of the child charities, I can’t remember which one, that starts out saying that as American’s we have the choice of bottled, flavored, or tap water, but children all over the world are going without water or are drinking water that makes them ill.  That put it all in perspective for me and reminded me how lucky we are to have the resources we do, simple by the lottery of where we were born.  I’m going to donate to Charity Water to bring clean water to more people and I’m going to appreciate and make use of the resource we have such abundance in.

Sees Gourmet Lollipops

I ate three new things today – Sees Gourmet Butterscotch Lollipop (left over from the kids’ Christmas stockings), Drew’s Organic Salsa (mild), and Green Mountain Gringo All-Natural Tortilla Strips. I’ve missed my chips and salsa so much!  I was thrilled to try these – they’re delicious and only 4 point for 1 ounce.  You’ll be seeing them a lot in my food diary 🙂  Just like the Late July Peanut Butter Crackers,  I like to have grab-and-go snacks so I don’t buy something worse because I’m starving.

I purchase my  Late July Organic Mini Peanut Butter Bite Size Sandwich Crackers (1.125-Ounce Pouches in 8-Count Boxes-Pack of 4) on Amazon through their Subscribe and Save Program which reduces the price by 15% and I get free shipping. That makes them just .76 cents a pack!  They have family-size boxes, too, but I can’t be trusted with them.

I loved the Sees Gourmet Lollipop, but I hate the stick. I’ve never like sticks on my lollipops; maybe because I usually bite them 🙂  But there’s just something weird about having that paper stick in my mouth.  Next time I’m going to order See’s Candies 4 oz. Chocolate Little Pops -they’re the same candies, only smaller, and no sticks!

Chips and salsa on a diet? You bet!

My husband found the Green Mountain Gringo All-Natural Tortilla Strips at Safeway. He chose them for me because they’re 100% natural, made from GMO-Free Corn, have no preservatives, are Gluten-free / No Trans Fats, and perfect for dipping.  I really like them – firm enough to dip, but thin enough to be crispy.  They have just enough salt and are delicious!

So, I’m starting out the week feeling pretty good. I’ve got my chips and salsa back and I’ve figured out why I didn’t lose. There are only 3 weeks before I go to Disney World and I’d like to lose another 8 pounds or so.  It’s looooooooooong flight from WA to FL, and a loser seatbelt sounds good.

Thanks for taking this journey with me!
