Today was a loooooooong day when it comes to food. Of course it started at 1am with a late night fridge raid of the leftover cheesecake….6 points gone before I’d even gone to bed. Then the day just kept getting away from me. At some point I wasted a boatload of points on 4 tablespoons of peanuts.
It wasn’t like I was hungry, I just wanted something salty and instead of going out and buying some chips, I grazed all day and now it’s 9pm and I have 2 points left. Now most people would think that I shouldn’t be eating after 9pm anyway, and they’re right, but I’m up until 2am most nights, so 9 isn’t so very early. Most nights I have tons of points left over at 11pm and almost feel like I need to eat something because I have so many points left.
And my new resolution to drink equal parts water/diet soda? FAIL! Not one glass of water yet today. I swear I thought about it but it just never happened. Blah!
I did manage to snap a photo. Remember I told you my husband cannot make a small salad? Well, the photo above is the salad he made me
for dinner today….he had one even bigger 🙂 It was at least 4 cups worth but I could only finish 3. Gotta love the guy.
So, I failed at budgeting my points and on drinking water, but it’s 9:29pm now, I still have time to resurrect the water…but I’m just too lazy to get up off this couch to get some. A water boy, that’s what I need! Uh, that’s not the kind of water boy I was talking about!

Connie I have lost 15.5 pounds so far and am now at 29 points a day. On the old point system you would ditch a daily point after each 10 pounds lost – not sure what they are doing now since it was quite random.
Did the online Weight Watchers “yell” at you for losing too much. I have to laugh since it does that with anything over 2 pounds a week. Not blogging about it yet, no time with other projects keeping me busy. Eventually I will say something about it, but for now I just Tweet and cheer on my friends doing WW with me.
29? Wow! My average for last week was 40, well below the 50 I was allotted. Why is mine so high? I didn’t lose anything this week so I figured out how to manually change my allotment to reduce it, but it would only let me put it down to 44. I’m still not using the weekly allotment and going to try to double my exercise. I’m bummed I didn’t lose, but I know I’m toning up, so I’m not going to whine too much 🙂

Thanks Rachel! Yes, my hubby makes a great salad. No complaints here! But he HATES that I’m trying to lose weight. He’s ridiculously skinny and he likes to just add whatever he thinks up. I have to keep reminding him that he can’t do that on mine 🙂
That salad looks absolutely amazing! Remember we all have good and bad days. The end product is learning from our choices and working toward the goal of healthier living. I love seeing how you budget/use your points during the day. Are your points values the total of your daily points and the activity ones you earn? Just curious since I keep losing points and wonder if I am going to be eating grass as I get closer to goal. Oy! Can not wait to give you a big hug in March 🙂
I had 49 points last week and 50 points this week. Is that a lot? I’ve only use the extra points once, this week, and I think I used 3. I never convert my exercise to points and try to end the day with some points in the bank.
Are you a lot lower than me? Some days it feels like I’m making myself eat. Other days like yesterday and today it’s a lot tougher and it feels like I’m out of points way too early. Granted, it’s because I made very bad choices, but still! 🙂
I’d love to know how many points you’re allotted. I’m many months from reaching my goal. Do they start you out on more and then reduce them? I lost 4 pounds the first week and tomorrow is weigh in day. I really thought I’d lose more than 4 pounds the first week because I’d been eating all the wrong foods and not exercising. I’ll be lucky if I have a pound this week 🙁 We’ll know in the morning!
