I LOVE holiday music, but I get a little tired of the same songs. Yes, they’re traditional, but I like discovering new music, too. I got the opportunity to check out, Winter’s Songs: A Windham Hill Christmas, and fell in love instantly with many of the tracks. This an instrumental compilation by various artists that mix traditional holiday songs with songs celebrating the winter season. My favorite was December Morning. It’s sure to become a holiday standard in our house.
I love instrumental CDs for parties. There’s no competing with the singer to talk and enjoy each others company, but great music to share. This CD is perfect for a holiday get-together but also relaxing by the fire, reading a book, or taking a winter’s drive to look at Christmas lights. This is a great add to any Christmas music collection!
If you’re a huge fan of Windam Hill and have purchased CDs in the past, you probably already have these tracks as they’re from previous holiday samplers. But if you’re new to the music or want one CD with some of the best, then this is a great CD for you.
