In my organic (mostly) garden near Seattle, WAWe’ve had only a few days of nice weather here, and those have been randomly scattered here and there. I’m starting to feel a little moldy and so is my garden.  The most prolific thing right now?  Slugs!

Here are some photos from my garden today. The first is of a planter box on my deck.  I planted it in red, white, and blue to bloom (hopefully) for the 4th of July holiday.  The plants are doing really well considering the cold temperatures we’re having.

Here are the  Topsy Turvy planters we planted on May 23rd. It’s been raining so much, we’ve yet to water them.  The tomato (not shown) is doing really well and you can see the strawberries are coming along!  The middle photo is of my coveted butterfly bush.  It’s started blooming.  The last photo is of our tiny vegetable patch and above them our raspberries.  Something is eating our vegetables, we’re not sure what. We’re throwing everything organically allowed at them to stop it.  I’m thinking the rain is not helping.

The strawberries and blueberries look like they’re going to be fabulous. Now we just need some sunshine!
