Every year we receive fabulous Christmas Cards and every year they end up in a pile on the table in the hallway. It just feels wrong not to display and enjoy them, especially the photo cards.

I’ve been looking for a new way to enjoy them, and so I’ve been scouring the web for the best DIY Christmas Card Holder ideas.

Here are my favorites.

Display the season’s cards and photos by tucking them into this fleece-covered tree you can keep on a tabletop or hang on a wall.”  The simplicity of this Holiday Tree Holder really appeals to me.  Put it in the kitchen and add your favorite holiday cookie recipes and photos as well!

Yum Sugar posted this Ribbon Christmas Card Holder– this is the one I’m leaning towards.  First, it makes use of the back of the front door, so it’s the perfect place, and second, it’s simple!

Thrifty Fun combines felt, clothespins, and ribbon to make this sweet Mitten Christmas Card Holder in a clothesline style.  Instructions and pattern can be downloaded from their site.  Try a print fabric instead of felt for a different look.

Martha Stewart offers two alternatives on her site – the first, a Card Tree.  The second, a wire card wreath.  The trees pretty sweet, but we don’t have trees here with berries and I think that’s what makes this one so special.

By the way, I save the cards and reuse them the next year as gift tags by using decorative scissors, a hole punch, and ribbons. They look fabulous and cost next to nothing!
