I used to be a pretty good baker. Preferring to spend hours working on amazing desserts that were ooh’d and ahh’d over, rather than cooking dinner which was scooped up and finished in minutes.  Lately I’ve become more of a cook, making dinner’s for the hubs and freezer cooking, and I’ve been enjoying it.  But now that the leaves have finished falling and they’re predicting possible light snow for tomorrow, I’m starting to think it’s time to start baking some of the yummy goodies I keep reading about on some of my favorite blogs.

I’ve been tweeting the blogs and their links, but because I want to go back and reference them in the future, I thought I’d post them here. Some of you may enjoy them as well!

Recipes & Holiday Baking Tips

Orange Cranberry White Chocolate Biscotti is posted at Annie Eats.  It looks amazing!  But I think they need to be dipped in white chocolate !  These would make a great gift.Photo Credit: annies-eats.com
CakeSpy is one of my favorite blogs mostly because the pictures are drool-worthy!  Here’s a recipe for Cinnamon Star Holiday Cookie recipes that I’ll be hoping to find time to make. I think they’d be adorable packaged and given as a gift.  They also do their own original artwork. Photo Credit:  CakeSpy

DIY Crafts that make great Holiday Gifts!

There’s nothing better than homemade soap!  I hate when I have to use a commercial brand although I do use a commercial organic soap.  Check out the Holidays Soap Tutorial for making your own handmade soap and ideas on how to package it to give as gifts.  So cute!
