I love my husband, but sometimes I wonder what he’s thinking. For my 48th birthday last week he brought home cream puffs. Now don’t get me wrong, I love cream puffs and it was very thoughtful of my hubby. When I casually asked why he chose cream puffs, he said he thought I didn’t like cake. Huh? Who’s he been married to for the last 25 years? I LOVE cake!
When the owner of Bake Me a Wish! found out I didn’t get a cake for my birthday she sent me the most delicious chocolate cake to celebrate with! I received via mail the most amazing Triple Chocolate Enrobed Brownie Cake – so moist and fudgy completely covered in chocolate and finished with dark chocolate shaved chocolate and a Belgian chocolate piece with the words “Thank You” on them. The cake was amazing alone, but we put fresh raspberries from our garden on top and it became heavenly!
It was sent with an ice pack and was originally frozen, but by the time it reached me on the opposite side of the US via 2-day mail, it was thawed but still cold. Packaged in an elegant box inside the cold box, it was well protected and arrived in perfect condition. It was obviously made of fresh ingredients and fabulous ones as well – you’ll be amazed at the quality. This is a cake you’d be proud to give – truly! Just like you’d bake if you had time and the ability to mail it, but leave it to the experts – they’ll do you proud.
Shipping is very affordable. Their 7″ cakes which serve 6-8 people (or just me for 6 days) ships for $9.99 for 2-day shipping or $14.99 overnight. Those are some of the most reasonable shipping rates I’ve seen (and I ship a lot of goodies to my son who’s away at college – he’ll be getting a cake as soon as school starts up again in the fall).
Bake Me a Wish! is a family-owned New York bakery that also supplies pastries to some of Manhattan’s most elite restaurants. Their cakes are lovely – check out their website for more drool-worthy flavors including Red Velvet, Vanilla Bean, Carrot Cake, Boston Cream, and more. Better yet, Bake Me a Wish! donates 5% of your purchase price to Bake Me A Wish!’s Operation: Birthday Cake, which, with their partner Soldiers’ Angels, donates birthday cakes each month to soldiers overseas. Imagine the morale booster a cake on a soldier’s birthday can bring.
I’m very impressed with the quality, taste, and presentation of my Bake Me a Wish! cake. Special thanks for making my birthday celebration even better.
