elizabethgrantThis is the second of two Elizabeth Grant Vitamin C products I had the pleasure of checking out. The Vitamin C Cleanser is a wonderfully foamy, gentle, and lightly scented cleaner that’s free of sodium lauryl sulphates.  I use it daily in the shower and enjoy the cleansing power; however, the scent is more medicinal than I’d like. I’m spoiled by many products having essences in them that add an aromatic effect while I’m using them.  In spite of that, this is a fantastic cleanser.  My skin looks great, and my pimples are reduced to monthly breakouts that I’ve yet to find anything that can fully combat the hormone acne I’m still prone to as I near 50 (so unfair!).

The Vitamin C Cleanser is thick and creamy, and only a dime-size dollop is required to cleanse my face, neck, and decollete. It rinses cleanly and quickly.  It adds about a minute to my daily showering.  I get all this cleaning power without suffering from dry, flaky skin.  I also have no irritation at all – it’s so gentle.  I love my oil-free skin after using it.

Elizabeth Grant Vitamin C Cleanser

Elizabeth Grant is a cruelty-free company – none of their products have been tested on animals. As a vegetarian, that’s important to me.  It’s strange though that they offer skincare products with Caviar in them – to me; it’s opposite of their animal-friendly policies and a bit disconcerting.  They do claim it’s harvested from non-endangered Canadian Salmon.

The Elizabeth Grant line is a full line of products. Use their online Skin Quiz to find the perfect EG products for your skin type and problems.  All skin types: Combination, Dry, Normal, Oily, and Sensitive.  EG carries products for your Body, Eyes, Face, Feet, Hands, Lips, and Nails.

Products in their line I’d love to try? Peppermint & Eucalyptus Foot Scrub & Cracked Heel Treatment – my feet are a mess, and with summer coming they’re just going to get worse.  With the economy tightening, I have less money for pedicures and am going to have to start taking better care of my feet on my own.
